About Sailaway "The great thing about sailing is that there is something in it for everyone of any age...a real family sport." Doug Wright is Sailaway's owner & operator and has been sailing for over thirty years.  Having cruised his own sailboat from Maine to Florida and Bermuda to South America, Doug has a real respect for the sea.  He's a US Coast Guard Licensed Master Captain, Yacht Broker, American Sailing Association Instructor and is Red Cross certified in First Aid and CPR. Safety First We have put together a great team of certified instructors to insure that your kids will have a lot of fun while learning to sail safely.  Everyone must know how to swim and lifejackets are required to be worn whenever on the docks or out on the boats.  All of their time both on the water and in the classroom will be closely supervised by the instructors.
